TRON partners with Huawei to list its portfolio project BitTorrent (BTT) on the latest Huawei mobile devices like Huawei Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, P40 Pro, among others via the Huawei AppGallery.
TRON’s other applications like BitTorrent Pro, uTorrent, and uTorrent Pro are also available on the Huawei ecosystem through Huawei AppGallery, which is on par with Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
As Huawei is the largest telecom manufacturer in the world and is also listed as the second-largest producer of smartphones, the partnership with TRON will now enable over 3 Billion Huawei users across 170 countries to access BitTorrent, which is the largest file-sharing network in the world.
Speaking of this development, the Founder of TRON and CEO of BitTorrent, Justin Sun, said that this strategic merger is a huge milestone for both TRON and BitTorrent. Justin also said,
While this integration will further the user base of BitTorrent, it is also an opportunity for TRON to list its other crypto-enabled application on the AppGallery to reach billions of Huawei smartphone users.
As a matter of fact, the integration of the major applications of TRON on the Huawei ecosystem comes as no surprise as TRON also partnered with Samsung this year that enabled the listing of most of TRON’s dApps (decentralized applications) on the Samsung Galaxy Store as well.
Huawei smartphones have already established a niche in the Asian market and predominantly in China, indicating a vast potential for expanding the user base of BitTorrent users in these locations. Moreover, as stated earlier, there are more than three billion Huawei smartphone users globally; thus, there is a huge potential for BitTorrent to expand its user base from its current hundred million users to more than a thousand million users globally.
